As children grew comfortable with their environment, our journey moved from joyful settlement to nurturing attention and confidence through play. Red Day filled our spaces with color and excitement, as children shared red treasures and engaged in themed activities through joyful expression.
In class, Montessori Practical Life activities like pouring and straining nurtured focus, coordination, and independence. Through the EVS theme All About Me, children learned to name body parts and express themselves with clarity and confidence.
English phonics sessions built early literacy through letter sounds, vocabulary games, and pre-writing. In math, children used Montessori materials to trace, count, and sequence—developing number sense through hands-on exploration.
We also held our first formative assessment, observing each child’s progress through calm, stress-free interactions. These insights help us guide learning thoughtfully for every child.
As the journey continues, August promises even more discovery, play, and growth across every corner of the classroom.
Our Red Day event turned Rays Kids Preschool into a joyful sea of red! Children arrived in bright outfits with treasured red objects and engaged in immersive, hands‑on activities—sorting, crafting, storytelling, and playful games like tug of war—that sparked creativity, curiosity, and connection through a day of vibrant, shared exploration.
Children explored Montessori-inspired Early Practical Life (EPL) activities through sensorial experiences like pouring, pounding, sponging, and straining. These hands-on tasks nurtured independence, fine motor control, and focus, helping children build confidence and coordination in a calm and purposeful environment.
Children explored the theme “All About Me” by identifying body parts and expressing themselves through interactive group activities. With posters, books, and playful demonstrations, they built self-awareness, communication, and social confidence—laying the foundation for personal identity and early vocabulary in a joyful, hands-on way.
Children built early English skills through fun and interactive phonics-based activities. They practiced alphabet sounds, traced sandpaper letters to strengthen pre-writing, and expanded vocabulary through group and individual exercises. Each session supported listening, speaking, reading, and writing in a playful, age-appropriate Montessori environment.
At Rays Kids Preschool, math is nurtured as a life skill. Children explored number symbols through sandpaper tracing and cards—starting with identification and progressing to sequencing. Montessori materials and name-lesson-based teaching supported individual exploration, making math learning focused, joyful, and rooted in real-world understanding.
Our first formative assessment offered valuable insights into each child's development through calm, stress-free, play-based observations. From natural interactions in Playgroup to presentations and writing in higher levels, teachers used checklists and Kreedo tools to document progress, understand learning patterns, and tailor instruction with care and intention.
