Continuing from July’s focus and confidence, August brought curiosity to life through colourful, joyful experiences that deepened each child’s learning journey. With routines firmly in place, children embraced exploration, creativity, and connection in every corner of the classroom.
Children celebrated Friendship Day, World Lion Day, Elephant Day, and Independence Day with crafts, storytelling, and expressive play. Green Day filled our classrooms with unity and excitement as children shared, discovered, and created through nature-themed activities.
Through the EVS theme Nature & Animals, little ones engaged their senses with plant care and group activities. Montessori-inspired learning continued with phonics, vocabulary, number sequencing, and sensorial work on colours. Independence and social bonds grew stronger through hands-on discovery and collaboration.
As the journey continues, September brings traditional celebrations, academic revisions, assessments, and parent connect sessions. With the successful completion of the first three months, we now begin compiling meaningful skill progress reports—capturing each child’s growth with care, clarity, and purpose.
Friendship Day was filled with kindness, colour, and joyful bonding. Children made friendship bands using lettered beads and tied them to peers. Through tying bands to each other, they explored empathy and connection in a cheerful, hands-on celebration of friendship and care.
We celebrated World Lion Day on August 11th with stories, fun facts, and colourful craft. Children learned about the lion’s strength and kindness, coloured lion faces with crayons and added fork-painted mane. Mimicking the lion’s roar added laughter and energy to a joyful day of wildlife-inspired learning.
World Elephant Day on August 12 brought joyful learning through stories, sounds, and hands-on craft. Children learned about tusks and trunks, then folded origami paper to create elephant faces with moving trunks. They added googly eyes, mimicked trumpeting sounds, and enjoyed a fun, sensorial experience.
Independence Day was filled with tricolour pride as children dressed in white, waved tiny flags, and joined in joyful celebration. They crafted glittery flag kites, wore flag pins, and responded sweetly over the mic during a Q&A on national symbols—making it a proud, vibrant, and meaningful experience.
Green Day turned the school lush and lively with vibrant decor and curious little learners in green. Children brought green objects from home for a display table and learned about their textures and traits. Leaf painting created butterflies, handprints formed a mural tree, and green stars marked unity and joy.
August was filled with green thoughts as children explored nature and animals through joyful activities. They watered potted plants, sowed fenugreek seeds, and identified animals by sight and story. Each session sparked curiosity and helped children connect with the world around them.
